The visit to the Orange Electrical Factory aligns with these goals by offering participants a unique opportunity to:

The visit serves as a platform for participants to network with professionals from Orange Electrical, enabling the exchange of knowledge, ideas, and potential collaborations. Participants can deepen their technical knowledge by observing the latest machinery, tools, and production techniques used in electrical manufacturing.

Insights gained from the visit can inform future initiatives and projects within IIESL, contributing to the overall development of the engineering profession in Sri Lanka. This visit not only enriches the professional knowledge of IIESL members but also strengthens the relationship between the institution and key players in the local engineering industry.

Introduction to AutoCAD & Revit CPD Program

Contents :

AutoCAD Workshop :
1. Introduction to AutoCAD, its history, and GUI.
2. Basic geometry, shapes, and tools.
3. Advanced drawing tools (Multiline, Pline, Spline, X-line, Ray).
4. Modify tools, layers, projections, and views.
5. Hatching, blocks, block editor, title block, and attribute blocks.
6. Layout, plotting, and publishing.

Revit Architecture Workshop :
1. Introduction to Revit, its history, and GUI.
2. Project setup: units, drawing aids, dimensions, alignment lines.
3. Working with levels, grids, and basic objects (walls, floors, roofs, ceilings, doors, etc.)
4. Stairs, ramps, railings, components, site elements.
5. Managing views, annotations, schedules, quantities, and material takeoffs.
6. Collaboration, linking models, and working in teams.
7. Sheet creation: title block, adding/modifying views, creating a title sheet.
